...Better than "not at all" Why the Pacquiao vs Mayweather is still a HUGE fight

As a Blogger, most of my time is spent reading alot of articles from many different outlets. So when the news broke last Thursday night that Floyd Mayweather had (Finally!!!) agreed to fight Manny Pacquiao you could imagine how many browser tabs were open the next day. Though the first 15 minutes of me hearing the news was spent making sure that this wasnt a moment of 'he said, she said' rumor mill, It was indeed true. Floyd has finally signed to a fight that he has a very good chance in loosing. The May 2nd event soldout MGM grand in only 15 minutes with admission seats spanding from $1,000- $5,000 and ringside seats $250,000 according to Jonathan Snowden of The Bleacher Report. So anyone who says "this fight is 5 years too late" will be lying to you if they say they still were not going to watch the fight. To that point, lets look into why exactly this still is the best fight in boxing.


 For starters, The two fighters are still the biggest names in the sport. Mayweather continues to rack up  PPV revenue with cherry picked opposition. While lacking the action in the ring, Floyd does most of his selling through the pre-fight activities and promotions. Often using the access shows (24/7,hbo or all access,showtime) to show off his usual short distance punching  routines and berating his opponents to the camera about how much quality they lack to an extent where you ask yourself " well, why the hell are you even fighting Roberto Guerraro?". From the showing of his last two fights with Marcos Maidana, it appears  that Floyd has slowed significantly (hand speed and legs). There were times Maidana was slipping Mayweather easily in order to close off the ring where he would get most of his success. This is usually the game plan for most when they fight Mayweather, especially for brawlers, but the fact that he did it enough for it to be a close fight should have the Pacquiao camp licking their chops.

Pacquiao continues to show his devolpment as a fighter from the one-punch, left-handed dynamo he was when he first fought on US soil. Manny's opposition of late has come into question, but it's no doubt he fears no one or anything inside the squared circle. With the likes of Antonio Barrera (2), Erik Morales (3), Juan Manuel Marquez (4), Miguel Cotto, Oscar De La Hoya, and Antonio Margarito (whom in his prime stalked Mayweather press confrences for years to get a fight) under his belt,and the fashion he won those fights; Its no wonder Manny won "fighter of the decade" for the 2000s. Manny has been on his bounce back of his perceptions to fans after his KO loss to Marquez and a meekly judged fight with Timothy Bradley. To his credit, he took the unneeded rematch, which turned out to be tougher than the first fight with Bradley who was desperate to prove to fans that he did deserve the decision. Then showing his abilty to beat up bruisers with his pattoned speed in Brandon Rios, and the physically dominate Chris Algeri. Though he wont get much credit for those fights, there seems to be a more callculated Pacquiao now.

Stylistically these two now have elements of a good fight. Though many will say that both fighters arent what they were, theres still the defensive art of Mayweather and still the quick powering combinations of Pacquiao. The only precaution I ever had, even 5 years ago was that the defensive-minded Floyd would ruin any action of a fight, but with his showing against the much slower Cotto and Maidana to stand toe-to-toe (not by design) you can't help but wonder what Pacquiao's ring generalship, foot work, speed, power, and combinations will bring to ths fight.

Much has been made about oppsosition of late from fans but that maybe because they just had not fought each other yet and chances for big money fights without each other was limited. Through the build up of this annoucment there were many of fans that were ready to protest Mayweather PPVs if he did not fight pacquiao next. He (Mayweather) did miss out on quite a number of challengers who would surley made him work like Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez, Antonio Margarito. But this Floyd's big moment of actually quality where you could say there's a good chance of him loosing. There are actually plently of challenges out there that can be explored for who could be the next to reign champion as a household name boxer like Danny Garcia where there would be more risk than reward, But the fans and experts have waited long enough. In the words of the late Mills Lane "Lets get it on"

What Mayweather proclaims as reasons why he believes Manny consuming some form of HGH (human growth hormones) turns into what he fears of the outcome of fighting the  8-divison Filipino Champion.  







Numbers of other interviews where Mayweather points to Pacquiao's PPV numbers, his promoter, and his lack prominence to "be his own boss" as to why a deal cannot be made. But what started as a simple question turned into furious rant,Floyd goes on to diminish Pacquiao's incredible accomplishments to date as too good to be true. " I aint just ,walk through Cotto" Floyd states. Pointing to the demolition Pacquiao orchastrated against the Puerto Rican Brawler, Floyd indirectly tells Josh Slagter of mlive.com that his precaution of a fight with Manny Pacquiao is the possiblity of getting seriously hurt.



Say what you will but it seems very clear that Mayweather seems to only fight for one thing and one thing only ... himself

2014, a marker year

Some of you may know from previous entries that I stated that I would try to post more, but as always life got in the way which lead to me really not inspired to do much of anything. It has been a quite a year. Of all the times for me to feel uninspired to write, it was an observant writer's dream no to. So many events, deaths, and moments.

The years started for me with some optimism. 2013 wasn't a bad year for me but I was looking to ride the high I had toward the tail end of the year into 2014, and it did. I got out aside my reluctance and met some pretty cool people. Also was able to build my tolerance with people (because I really don't like people) and enriched my ways of searching for solutions. My single streak was also broken

It was awsome to finally see the world cup back as well and see the brief popularity of soccer in the USA. by the wall, the USA played pretty well and everyone should be proud of them but now that they can play with the big boys, they have to now learn to beat the big boys. It was great to see Brazil host the game that Brazilans perfected, but the climax of their competition was heart breaking. You simply cant win a game on heart, and that was the lesson Germany taught us. But with a new coach (kinda) brazil has yet to loose a game since the world cup. Hopefully they can make it up to us in Copa America.

By the time spring semester was winding down I could not wait to start my break. But shortly after it starting I heard the news that a friend of mines father had passed away, whom I and many others simply knew him as "Pops". But little did I know the grieving would not stop there. As I do most summers, I stayed in Jersey in the company of friends, my grandparents, and girlfriend's. Seen my teammate endure a very grusome injury, that still gives me chills thinking about it. But it is good to see Kalea recover well. It was rough   for me financially and some good people helped me out, and I personally thank them for it.  

Toward the twilight of the summer, much of my time was job searching back in Delaware and getting everything prepared for the fall semester. But a chapter in my life was only beginning to end. 

There must of been an calling of mortal angels to the afterlife beause it was almost eerie to see how many of my friends lost someone, including celebrities and people gone due to violence. Anyone who knew me, knew my pop pop. 

There was no bigger figure in my life than this man. Within him I lost and grandfather, a father,  and a best friend. When they someone is irriplaceable, he's it. There will never be anyone in the world that will have my back like he did. He didnt needed to do any of the things he did for me. All of it was his choice and for someone reason put so much faith and time in me. And when I gave up on basketball to tryout other sports he completely supported it even though everyone else didnt like it. Especially the fact that it was him who drove me 45 min every morning to expensive NBA basketball camps, he didnt mind and understood why I did not want to play anymore. He would even heard it from other family members about me saying that he spoiled me and etc. But he always defended me, and truly got upset when anyone sin the family bad mouthed me. So when I got that call on September 16, 2014 you better believed every once of moisture my eyes could hold were gone. Theres still a hole in my heart that will never fill. I could go on and make this whole entry about him because he deserves that. For the sake of completing this I won't but its hard limit the words I could tell you how much this man meant to me and just how hard its been for me to move on. I will leave it at that.

During the time of pop pop's passing, there was also alot going on in the world of news with Micheal Brown, Robin Williams, and Maylasian airplane disappearance. This is what the sixties most of been like. Protesters hitting the streets and police beating up people, it was almost like being back in time. This really created a divide throughout the country but the media finally focusing the killing of young black men not only by self proclaimed neighborhood watchers, but police as well. Its been going on for awhile now but this year it really seemed the force its way in to the homes of surburban America through television. What was surprising to see was just how much racism still exist in this country. Unfortunatly, there are a few Americans who seem to believe it and think that every prosecution and killing of a young African American is warranted. this is why there is so much anger. Its an epidemic of young black men that would truly get more attention had it been anyother race, and the fact that police can also be imcompetent with there jobs and abuse their powers on not just black men but anyone. Women,children, and people with special needs are all victims of this. So that fact that there is a divide in this country about this and the rest of the world can clearly see this as a problem too shows just how lost in their ways some americans are. 

Its not to say all cops are bad, (and the fact that has to be said is really just a deflection) its that they dont have anyone repercussions to their mistakes. And that there can be holes in their story but will always get off. The fact that cops know how to set up a scene of a crime once they've done wrong is always forgotten. But the pressure of the people is consistent and that is the only way your (our) voices will ever be heard. That is what I can say is the most positive outcome I can say about this year.

The peddler's son

Once there was a little boy who peddled fish on the streets with his father. The father peddled down one block while son peddled another. The modest boy found it hard for he was not as vocal as his father, and for weeks could not sell the an mount of fish for him and his father to get by. One day the father, furious with his son, made the choice to omit his son from the shack house and add the boy's fish cart to his, believing he could double his sales. The boy took to the streets with only selling fish as his trade. So roamed till he could no longer see land, made fishing line and fished at the waterfront ahead of him. He reeled in plenty of fish, until one moment he retrieved a fish he had never seen before. With shimmering scales and large fins, the boy kept the fish in a separate bucket. The boy, knowing he was not the best salesman, took to the local fish market to sell his catchings. The merchant repayed the boy for the fish with enough earnings for the boy to eat for two weeks. Then the boy handed the merchant the bucket with the gorgeous fish. The merchant's jaw dropped at what he saw. The fish was extremely rare and was known to no longer exist. The boy would rewarded handsomely for catch enough to have a market of his own if he wanted. Instead he bought a shack house near the waters where he roamed until other fish peddlers would come to him to buy. One day, one if those peddlers were his father. Over joyed to see what the boy had became, the father rejoiced and said " together we could really do great business together". With his chin tucked to his chest and unable to look his father in the eye, the boy replied "I cannot father. If you can't take me at my worst, you do not deserve me at my best"....

So as many of you know , last summer did not entirly go as according to plan. However, with competence restored and old ties knotted, new line of production is ready to be filmed, written, and reported.
People familiar with me know that I had a few comedy skits and short film pieces, but were done back in 09/10 and very amateur. At the time we were bullshitting with a camera, now with production experience and better ideas I believe I have a good foundation to build a consistent production team. Ofcourse comedy piece are always on the table, but along with ideas for short films I'm also writing something worth making a documentary.
Lastly, there will be a time to cast so if ever called upon please make sure you're are serious about it. People get scared when it's time to get to work. See you soon!!!

Metamorphosis

Today marks the end of the faulty idealism, the waiting, and engaging. You hold on to things just because it the only thing familiar, but now it's now the least familiar.

The beautiful thing about life is that with every person we meet comes as a small window of many apartments to the world, and you never know how long your view of that window will be. Many brief, some  you even stayed the night a few times, but few welcome you in a share their place with you. We forget that we have our own apartment to tend to, and take care of.

Our development did not come in the most appealing way, but that's what made it interesting. At the time there's didn't seem much at all than effectuation (adolescence at that). Longevity became our glue. We simply didn't know anyone else longer than we did each other. Always seen eye to eye even when it was down telephone lines. You went there, I ended up here. You were stuck in a dark place, I was stuck in my thoughts. You came came out alive, and I came in support. No doubt it brought us closer, but we faced a game of tag with lending hands of  what seemed to be our only conclusion . The reasons mix.

I collected caterpillars when I was younger but I could never keep them in my house so I kept them by my door. Then my neighbor didn't like that I kept them by the door so he always tried to trash them, but I would get them back every time after a little trash digging (9 years old). I kept them till every one of them would cocoon, then place them in the woods where they'd essentially become butterflies and fly free. And I would be happy with the fact that I helped that process for them n protected them to what the others may not have. I have that 9 year old boy feeling right now....

2013, the year that was...for me atleast

Is it already the 31st of December? Seems like just yesterday I was welcoming the year 2013. Typically, the year seemed to just be one of those years that just go by under the radar as nothing much special but it would later bring in  some pretty dope moments of its own. As far as sports go it was a bittersweet. FC Barcelona would win la liga but faltered an embarrassing defeat in the semi finals of champions. But they wouldn't end the season on a wimper after announcing in May the purchase of Neymar whose been reaping the benefits ever since. We also got to see how the Brazil national team will look for the coming year's FIFA WORLD CUP, and the diagnosis is a threat to ever participating. Looking forward to see Brazil win it on home soil. Pac man come back was great to see after 2012 being such a disappointing year. Anderson Silva Forever....is all I'll say. Super bowl...who the hell cares. everyone forgets the next year anyway

Personally for me the year started like any other . Nothing special to write home about. But around spring, things didn't seem so bad. Made some new friends at the sake of losing one. I made my first video (editing, writing, and reporting) and made an ever better one in May. This would also get me some connections with some really cool people like Tara Negron who was the head of the Latino Student Organization and Dr.Raymond Tutu who is a global societies instructor and travels the world for research (dream job).

Summer didnt turn out to be what I wanted at all. Things were supposed to happen that never did and my credibility suffered for that. Wildwood tournament was somewhat a success even tho we didnt take the trophy home, we were the most feared team on the beach. BEWARE OF THE PUPPY BROTHERS!

Enter Fall, I finally got the 'Arctic' monkey off my back by actually seeing the perform in Philly at the Mann center. This is probably THEE best moment of the year and my life. It was awsome to have Alex Turner play a song at YOUR request and being surrounded by people who know all the songs too. Theres no better atmosphere. A week after the concert I began working at Buffalo Wild wings thanks to the help of a good friend. To this day (3 1/2 months later) Im still meeting some cool people, and also ones that I was better off not knowing.

Winter! AKA last week. Awsome Christmas! Got All the stuff I wanted, and now have a good foot in the door of pursuing my career as a writter. I can now produce my own videos,music, and photos for my writing. Count on '14 being the year that I get a big break.

In retrospect, the biggest take away I have for the year is that you have to fight high and low to get what you want. Even if you already have it, keep fighting. There always people that want what you got and will do anything to get it like jackals on a carcass. Plant your feet in the ground and break for no one. People arent as good as you take them to be all the time and often you're gonna have to be a dick. But so what! Bring it '14!

PS I know I havent wrote much since last semester but we'll work on that.

Take a walk: The outcast sympathizer

The following is an interview with a 23 year old charismatic, student who like to be referred to in this piece as 'Snake Plissken'. It did not take long for 'Plissken' to open up. When he did, he had this to.

I wanted to do this out of pure interest and curiosity. I deal in social science and I like to visualize the 'asking people about their feelings' thing. You doing this interview is gonna have an impact for a lot of people. I like that it’s a random profiling of human beings and the fact people will see this and like you mentioned , "its getting to know people without knowing the person".

A weakness that people don't know about me is that I consistently don not believe in myself.I don't think people get the depth of how fucked I get mentally sometimes. I've I picked up some bullshit in my past. Whatever it is that people expect out of me is something that I really don't want for myself. I don't want to sound dramatic but people in the past took me as a fool, and I been fighting that to this day. My way was  to always just to escape things instead of facing them

I would say because of the issues I've had it has help me to teach myself to know more, not that I'm a dumb person or anything. But I use these things to escape reality. of learning any and everything. But now that I know as much as a do, it made me more fucked up. I learned the world is more hash than I originally thought it was. Its a great big paradox. I learn to better myself but feel worse about the place I'm living in.

I think the outcome of this made less social, less outgoing, less comedic. I use music now as a outlet, for anger, fear and resentment. It was my ability cope with it. There was a time, that I was doing mind altering drugs that made me think differently of myself and how I deal with people. Not all negative though. But it made think of how others just go about this life. Realizing that most of these people are just drones, and not apart the reality of just BEING. I hate that I think like this sometimes because society tells us that once we think that we're totally different from other people, it's insanity. That's just how they see it. You see me and we've talk and I don't come off to you as insane,right? (completely not). But its the deeper thinking of these simple things that cast that. They're not going to flat out tell you that "Hey, you're insane". They going to be nice about it with "you have ADD" or" You're manic depressive" or "schizophrenic".

Because of this, though I have been a pretty strict on people as a society; I still have hope and I still care for these people. There's good out there, man. Its not all bad. You can go around the world and see all the culture there is and you can see that it's not all bad. You go about it several ways. You wake up every morning and get your coffee from starbucks or wawa and pretend to be happy go lucky. But that's not life. Its about seeing the bad and excepting it as it is and that it will happen, and all the more to celebrate the good and beautiful things in life. Then you can really appreciate all it offers.

I admit I do enjoy the chaos. I do find myself trying to understand the outcast. That's human nature though. That's Andrew Dice Clay, that's George Carlin, that's Richard Pryor. That's what brought their individuality to even go there.

I'm not the leader, I don't want to be the king. I just want to put my art out there and hope they'll like it. I know everyone won't, but if the message is getting to anyone out there than that to me is my life fulfilled success.

The following is a dialog of a 22 year old male who would like to be titled in the piece as "Desperado". After some small talk "Desperado" opened up and had this to say...

You know, I was really glad to do this anonymously. Not that there's shame in anything I do but as a guy you really don't know how to just pour yourself out and especially to just anyone.

Right now I am at that point of forming who I want to be as a man- the values I believe and the things I won't do just to fit in. I guess that's what most of us are doing at this age. Sometimes it kinda feels like some of the guys our age already have, and I kinda envy that. I wish I could just be a jerk to anyone and say what ever the hell comes to my head.Those guys always seem to get the girls so easy like that. But I don't, for some reason I tend to treat everyone with respect and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Sometimes I feel like a pussy for that. I let things get to me that I should already expect that weren't going to go my way. Never been a lucky guy but I can say I'm luckier than most. People see me as the person I planned for them to see me, and they have no idea that I have these insecurities.

I love the ladies with a passion, but for the life of me I could never approach one I didn't know. All my relationships were formed from spontaneous events and conversations after knowing them for awhile. I guess you could say that's where my luck lies.

People these days....I really don't get them. It actually worries me to see what this world will be once we're the ones governing. Girls try to act like guys for fear of being hurt, and guys just fuck till they can't feel anything for the fear of being hurt. So we're stuck just with a bunch of assholes who are afraid to be human and in effect do inhuman things. Whats wrong with a little hurt? It shapes character. Hence, people who have everything their way usually are insensitive schmucks.

You ever notice that mass shootings are mostly made of the same characteristics? Depressed, teen, male. You know why, because we're given this blue print from the day we're born to out-masculine any situation that comes our way. "Man up" they say. And when you have that pressure on you to feel nothing, you end up feeling everything. Walls close in, and (not to sympathize with a killer) the only masculine opt out is violence. People need to be open with this, because you know these guys aren't just going to straight up ask for help or someone to listen, or someone to care.

I like to keep a positive outlook on my future. I always like to keep the mentality that the happier days are ahead of me, and the only way to get there is to take the bullshit head on. That would be my advice to anyone in thick.

On Saturday morning a photo of President Obama skeet shooting in August was released in response to conservative media who questioned his statements earlier in the week where he stated that he skeet shoots at Camp David. Just to show good measure with the gun lobbies who cry out that this president wants to "take away your guns". As a person who has some interest in the sport myself I found the photo "pretty cool". But after a full news cycle (which seems to be shorter than 24 hours and more like 24 minutes) I started to feel as if it's intention as a scapegoat. The " they don't believe I am a citizen of the country, so here's my birth certificate" kind of deal. Once again the president is having to conform for the people who don't except it either way. A bowing down if you will. After winning two elections, it should be the other way around  As a Progressive, it is very frustrating to see a legitimate president have to bow down and prove himself to people who are not  even suit to controlling their own party. I'd figure with the re-election of the president ( with bigger margin than last) the foolish politics and obstructions would at least dwindle down. But it's almost as if it happened.

Who exactly are you afraid of?

The past two mornings I've woken to the morning articles of the tragic Connecticut shooting that happened Friday morning. Every article was, and still is (Sunday, December 16) related to the shooter and the victims.

I personally tried to refrain from this story, not that I didn't care for the story. It's a terrible thing to have any child killed; and a mass killing at that. It's just the fact that as a apprentice of the maker of the news cycle, you already know what happens as talking points, what will be done.

You already know that the news will cover this story for the next 10 days (as they should for a story like this). You know that you will have to deal with seeing the gut-wrench victims family morn their children and tell their most memorable memories of them to reporters. You know that the topic of gun control will come up, and even though we have shootings damn-near everyday (including the shooting at a mall in Portland,OR, earlier this week) there're still people will defend the open market of fire arm purchases. You know that with all the talking of something to be done with gun control, no action will actually be taken place. You also would know that the public officials puppet strings hang tight to the NRA, an organization that prides its self on protecting you but always manages to scare the hell out of their own (armed) members when any type of control of the purchase of guns are mentioned.

Its not fair as a member of the media to do this to our viewers, its not not just a job of informing but also protecting them. We owe them more than just a 10 day talking point. We all know what needs to be done. The argument of the "people kill people" defense has become a straw one. A angered man walks into a school armed or unarmed is the only difference of the possible outcome that morning. Whats the matter with making sure nut jobs don't get guns in their hands? Is the interest of the NRA really that important to uphold over 20 children's lives? This isn't radical thinking, its common sense (which seems to grow less common). I just wonder how long until we're having this conversation again. Just to see if the talking points will ever actually grow into something productive.

The Party of Person Responsibility

Two days after the election reports of Romney and his campaign reaction to the results were published. CBS reported “that the campaign was unprepared for this in part because it had ignored polling that showed the races favoring Obama. Instead, it turned to its own internal ‘unskewed’ polls, which it believed more accurately reflected the situation on the ground. They didn't”.  One advisor said that Romney was “shell-shocked” at the results. Romney and his campaign were subconscious to polling that only favored himself rather than the more respective data. Just like donors for American Crossroad, they were lied to and personally escorted to a mental bliss through the campaign season. It’s a paradox of the campaign this year. Much of the attack advertising released by the Romney campaign was highly criticized by journalist and fact-checkers, which they would not provide a response to when mentioned. It would sidetrack a more elevated debate of the real issues because the campaign was stuck in the news cycle of the past 48 hours, neutralizing their own potential momentum.

 

            The post election stories have centered “blame” for the landslide defeat following the results of Florida that named President Obama the winner of their state. The results make the official electoral count of   332 to 206, and 50.6% to 47.9% for the president. Analysis from political reports suggest whether the base of the conservative party was too extreme for the voters, the candidate was too out of touch with the country, or his reoccurring pivoting on positions due to how far his party forced him in the primaries. Another source of blame also went to Karl Rove for the lack of results with so much money to their advantage. Karen Tumulty of the Huffington Post would say in her piece that it was a “$300 million dollar learning experience”

Election recollection (Election written)

Election Day has finally come! The 2 year process of primaries to the general election is about to come to an end. The punditry of who is right, who is wrong, who will take America back, and who will take America backwards comes to an end. All the predicting polling data will show which was more accurate all along. It is a true political junky’s Christmas morning, waking up to election coverage, eating a quick breakfast, and going to vote to your polling center, casting your ballot in hopes that your guy will win. My experience maybe a bit more exaggerated, but it’s what makes this day very different from others.

 

            Both, Republicans and Democrats feel very confident that they will get the victory. Something that has been different about this political season is the information how their positioning in the polls and news. For the past two weeks the Romney campaign has firmly believed that their private polling was the basis of how they would campaign would be ran. They have decided to neglect the bi partisan polling data and studies. When the Romney campaign released an attacking ad against the president stating that President Obama had cut the work requirement for welfare programs, many of the media journalist and press had criticized them for not telling the truth about the matter. The fact is that the president had reformed the program for states to handle the issue, something a conservative argument would fancy. When asked on why they would have a factual lacking ad on the air, Romney pollster, Neil Newhouse said “We will not have our campaign dictated by fact-checkers”. That’s right, the pollster said this. As a man who is hired to make his candidate as accurately informed, this is kind of a big deal. If Jim Jones's mom feels compelled enough that anyone in the hip hop industry would actually listen to her, then what does that say about the state of the game. I mean, even soulja boy somehow became a hit so who knows. But really, this is what it's come to? Even 10 years ago we couldn't shake the repetitive style of how much richer and tougher I am than you. Its been a stew simmering for awhile.

Was tribe called quest and the pharcyde area that long ago? A lot of times I ask myself and others, if rap didn't pay so well what do you think they'd rap about?Seriously, think if it paid as much as it did a teacher in a public school. That would eliminate 55% of today's hip hop.

Unfortunately, that other 45% is an obsession of sex, like its never happened the prior 3,000 years. It also feeds to the social problems obtained my its listeners, teen pregnancy. But just like the father in the situation, the artist wouldn't want to claim responsibility for it.

 Or maybe its another social phobia, the fear of admitting vulnerability. The pharcyde would sound like self loathers compared to this generation's music. Hip hop used to be like that, a form of updated blues. Rappers who didn't mind to explain their pain resentments, and fears.Now, a complete 180. This fear that your not as much of the "shit" you think you are. Disguising any fear, emotions, worries, or admitting you were ever wrong. Its the essentials of humanity. You can't ignore that, its how you grow, and get better. Instead you get stuck in a blissful ignorance where no one can tell you anything simply because you don't want to believe it

Maybe Im asking for too much from people, who knows? But Hip hop really needs to do some soul searching. Its a shame when talent isn't even marketable, and repetitiveness is rewarded.

The Fantasy of Government Dependency

After a bad week for Mitt Romney,which seems now to be a cliche to say these days, a lot of discussion about the "moochers" government aide has surfaced. Mitt Romney says he can not reach a certain 47% of the electorate because President Obama has solidify that portion through government aide, so they will never vote for him

This idea of government systematically making people dependent of them for political gain is simply not true. Majority of the Republican base receives some type of government aide, but completely opposed to the idea of government doing anything for anybody.

Generalizing people who receive aide as people who just want to settle with dependency is simply not true. Case in point to my general readers, mostly college students. Financial aide and tuition helps those who usually wouldn't have the opportunity to gain higher learning. It simply stand as a helping hand to society doing better for its self.

Yes, there are people who milk the system. But there's nothing that some type of reform can't solve.Completely erasing the system would only make things worst. Demonizing who ever have is simply turning your back on half the country.   

Political Junk Yard Part 2

A conservative politician's point of view is that progression & progressives are wrong. How as a nation do we turn our back on our own infrastructural?How can we be so hell bent on nation building other countries and deny our own.Feed the poorest of 3rd world countries, but deny helping our poorest citizens. Not that I know exactly what the fore fathers wanted for this country, but I would thing they would think we kinda misinterpret them. Invoking the fore fathers my have its own double edge sword in a argument trying to prove a point. All sides the political spectrum can the agree that the fore fathers idea of The United States being a grand nation.But when it comes to present day dilemmas, we can't face it by sitting back and say "the US is perfect".Our modern day issues are from years,even decades of neglect & ethnocentric belief. Lets face it,some countries do better than us at stuff. Competition to do well for our citizens is something we should take in stride, not politicized for fear.

Political Yard SALE!!!

Spring is usually the time to do your major cleaning ,but in the political season the best time would now (mid-summer).With majority of people on vacation & the last of their worries are some billionaire's taxes, the news's voice to meager ears.So why not take advantage?I decided to do a little cleaning of my own for media pundits,campaign spokesmen, congress, & anyone within the political spectrum. Removing all the cliches & talking points that sound good for the situation.Not like they're going to listen to me,but I figured I'd take a crack at it.

Big Government!!!!!

It's comical to me just hearing the words "big government". Automatically I think of a giant robot in a low budget Godzilla flick.How the giant robot (obviously a man in a robot costume) stomping on the toy version of the city. The actors playing civilians,looking up in fear, and portraying that there really is a giant robot stomping on their town. Then I snap out of that daydream and see the usual monger.Republicans usually base the "big government" fear to the public when they're preferred office is occupied by another party.Just like the actors,fearing something fictional.Its been that way for the past 30 years now."Don't vote for this guy, he promotes big government!".The bad thing about this argument (although a catchy to some) is that it can really only work for someone taking their fist crack at public office. That is if you're into that whole "character" thing.With the track record at what it is Republicans never seem to abide by the criticism articulate. The most intrusive legislative Patriot Act, was Republican devised. Even reached  a GOP debate this pass season, Mitt Romney & Rick Santorum jockeying for who was smaller in government; both being former politicians.Imagine that,two men battling over who is smaller.In the end we all know that government is eventually need for some things whether you like it not, and some pretty good stuff at that.A place to learn,a place that give us mail, a road to get us one place to another.I can go on but you understand.Its best we put the "big government"  bumper stick on car you drive the least.

Capitalism problems

The United States is very unique. The economy grows in two parts,Business capital & The Fed (gov).To know this country, you must you its history(as would any other).Back to 1920's, when a familiar stock  market crash to the one of most recent (2008).Having the government forced to give loads of money to repair the market forcing the nation into a recession, as it were to both situations.We are a smart enough country in the sense that we know when someone is trying to cheat,you keep your eye on them,right?. So, you would slap on regulations to make sure the wall street guys do it again,right?So why so defensive on regulations?Understandably cutting the ones that don't meet today's criteria, but you complain bout the new ones sure don't make it sound like you learned your lesson.The fact that this narrative can pick up to the blue collar and working force (under $250,000/yr) confuses me.Its a prime example supporting against your own interest. This shouldn't really offend the rich for ,1.its true, and 2.YOU'RE RICH!!!!!
